George's Marvellous Medicine By Roald Dahl

Illyra productions invite you to join them on a much loved Roald Dahl adventure against the backdrop of 16 Century Castle Kennedy ruins.

Illyria returns with yet another Roald Dahl classic full of (literally) larger-than-life characters, plenty to join in with and just a twist of malicious fun! It's guaranteed to send you through the roof!

Marquee provided if weather unfavourable. Tea Room open for refreshments and light snacks. Picnics are welcome. Low back chairs, rugs and insect repellent recommended.

Tickets for performances are available at Castle Kennedy Gardens Shop and Stranraer Tourist Information Centre. Discounts apply to tickets purchased in advance, Adults £11, Students and Children £7 and Families (2 adults and 2 children) £32.

Light refreshments and delicious home-baking along with wine and beer (Romeo and Juliet performance only) will be available to purchase from Castle Kennedy Gardens Tea Room. A marquee will be available to offer shelter should weather be unfavourable.

Garden Ranger Sundays continue with fun filled action & adventure

Prepare to explore the gardens each Sunday with our Garden Ranger.  Each week we have a different theme to discover featuring Loch Life on the 14th July. or come along to the Mini Beat Hunt and Building Natural Sculptures on 18th July starting and 11.00am and 2.00pm.  All Ranger Activities take place on a Sunday from 11.00am-12.30pm or 2.00pm-3.30pm. Suitable for all ages.

Flowers at Castle Kennedy Gardens

Guided Walks

Join our Head Gardener, John MacArthur of that Ilk, who has been at Castle Kennedy Gardens for over 23 years.  Benefit from his experience and knowledge whilst gaining a fascinating insight into our Gardens and plants. Walks start at 2.00pm.

Cost: Admission to Castle Kennedy Gardens plus £2.00 (includes a slice of home-made cake and a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate).

Seagull at Castle Kennedy Gardens

Bird Hide

View our wonderful wild foul and exciting array of wildlife from our bird hide in its new location on White Loch, a site of special scientific interest.  Enjoy our resident flock of greylag geese, herons, many varieties of grebes, oyster catches and occasionally ospreys and otters.  Binoculars and guide books are available to hire or purchase from Castle Kennedy Gardens Gift Shop.
